Neyyardam police station was opened by Sri. T. K. Ramakrishnan the Hon&rsquoble Home Minister of Kerala on 18-02-1981, vide GO No. 437/.81 Home dated 18-02-1981. The station building is situated near Neyyar Dam, adjacent to survey No 26/1-54, Kallikadu village under, KattaKada Thaluk. Neyyardam is a popular picnic spot with a blue lake at the foot of Western Ghats. It comprises Thick Forests, Dam, Elephant Park and other important tourism places. The land has a history of productive agriculture.

The Jurisdictional area of Neyyardam PS comprising the Revenue villages of Kallikkadu, Vazhichal, Amboori and Mannoorkara. The Pachayaths are Kallikadu, Kuttichal and Amboori.
