The Police Station came into Existence on 26th November 1973 as per notification No. 1830/73/Home dated 26-11-1973. Now the Police Station is housed in a Govt Building having Building No. BP V/562 situated in a n area of 8 cents of land comprised in Survey No. 455/01 of Pallichal village. The location of station is at Balaramapuram Junction, Southern side Thiruvananthapuram- Balaramapuram road-NH 47 and western side of Balaramapuram- Vizhinjam road. Parts of Kottukal, Venganoor, Athiyanoor road Pallichal villages come under the jurisdiction of this Station.Balaramapuram is a small town in the Thiruvananhtapuram District . Balaramapuram is famous for its hand-spun cloth. Weaving is a cottage industry here with cooperative activity.
