The Police Station started functioning in 1070 M E (1895 AD). Attingal Police Station is situated in survey No1335 -4/7 Avanavancheri Village comprising of 72 cents. The property was handed over to the police department from Sreepadam Palace Authorities. Police Station is located on the Northen side of Thiruvananthapuram &ndash Kollam National Highway road about100 yards North of Attingal Junction. The Govt of Kerala, as per notification ,published as S.R .O No 553/07 declared building No AMC X/56 of Avanavancheri Village Chirayinkil Taluke as Attingal Police Station with effect from 2nd July 2007 and the said police station is presently functioning in the said building. A new Govt building bearing No AMC-XVII/1205 in Attingal Muncipality , situated in survey No 1335 -4/2 in Avanavancheri village in Chirayinkil Taluke has been constructed for Attingal Police Station. Now the station building is functioning in the new building. At present the police station, the Office of Inspector of Police and the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police are functioning in the new building .
